Runs beautifully, minus one quirk

It runs really well and is honestly my favorite part of my selfhost suite. But i cant seem to squash this one little quirk, when content transitions, audio de-sync’s 🙁
I have adult swim bumpers (generally short 5-10 secs) set up as the filler, and it plays them as expected, but after they finish is where de-sync happens.
Changing channel to another and back fixes it, but its annoying and im not sure what i can do for it.
Maybe its the length of the filler vidoes? Unfortunate if so

I mostly run VLC on desktop (m3u playlist link plugged into network stream)
I also run android tv (jellyfin+VLC)
I have minor testing on iphone 14 pro max (VLC)
all have the same result - runs and plays well, fast even. but transitions desync.
on desktop i have the playlist view in vlc open and when it breaks i just click the channel again, it fixes the sync but is a few seconds ahead from where i was before (depending on the severity of the desync, if i let it continue to transition and desync further when i reset it the time offset is much more).

Kurtoiseb that information looks incomplete (ffmpeg profile information is missing), but from what I can see, I would at least try changing the streaming mode from MPEG-TS to HLS Segmenter (NOT v2 yet). Unless you are using something that requires a HDHomeRun tuner (you don't appear to be), there's no benefit to using MPEG-TS.

& ill try hls, from what i remember when i tested that last my tv vlc wouldnt play it, ill let you know.

HLS keeps giving me this error,

Assertion consumed 1= (-(11)) failed at libavcodec/decode.c:459

mpeg-ts (legacy) does not give this error.
HLS Also runs considerably slower to begin playback when tuning to channel.

Kurtoiseb the different streaming modes use the same transcoding logic, so that error is unexpected, but also missing a lot of context/detail.

If you go in ETV's main settings page and enable Save Troubleshooting Reports To Disk and try streaming again, it will create a report with all of the necessary info. To find the reports, use the tray icon to open the logs folder, go up one folder, then go into the ffmpeg-reports folder, and upload or paste the contents of the report that contains that error.
