Hello,
Is there a maximum number of streams Ersatz is capable of providing? Is it a function of hardware capacity?
Just curious… and thanks!

You could look at the cpu/gpu usage of one stream, and base the limit on that. Your storage type could also factor in, but unless you're running really fast cpu/gpu on really old/slow storage, it's more likely that you'll be limited by processing speed.
Thank you for the reply.
I'm working on reconfiguring my servers. Right now, I've got Ersatz running on an old Win10 gaming rig: older Ryzen 7, GeForce GTX 1080Ti, 64GB RAM, all SSD storage. Streams will stop if I have more than 2 clients on a stream. I can see ffmpeg running on the GPU, but as. I'm… not fond of… Windows, I think it's time to install *.nix so I can actually see what's going on with that machine.
Just a quick guess, under settings there is a setting for Tuner Count (under HDHomeRun Settings).... I'm wondering if this is possibly set to 2?
wallsy1703 Indeed it was…. Now it's set to 5. I'll check if that has 'fixed' my issue later.
Does this mean that Ersatz can 'emulate' an HD HomeRun for integration with things like PLEX and Channels? (My prior assumption was that Ersatz might have some sort of integration with an actual HD Homerun box…)
Victory!
Adjusting the Tuner Count in the HDHomeRun Settings box in Ersatz Settings seems to have adjusted the maximum number of streams that Erstaz can deliver.
Thank you for the guidance!
Awesome news. And yes, ErsatzTV works really well with in both Plex and Channels. I prefer using it with Channels, but find the monthly subscription for Channels a hard pill to swallow when I can use it for free in Plex.
