Hi all,
I’m using ErsatzTV with the following schedule configuration:
- Start Type: Dynamic
- Collection Type: Collection
- Collection: Cartoon Network
- Playback Order: Chronological
- Playout Mode: Multiple
- Multiple Count: 3
- Keep Multi-Part Episodes Together: is checked.
My library contains shows split into 2–3 files per episode. Here’s an excerpt from my upcoming guide that shows the misalignment:
Johnny Bravo - Episode 1 - Part 1
Johnny Bravo - Episode 1 - Part 2
Johnny Bravo - Episode 1 - Part 3
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 1 - Part 1
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 1 - Part 2
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 1 - Part 3
Johnny Bravo - Episode 2 - Part 1
Johnny Bravo - Episode 2 - Part 2
Johnny Bravo - Episode 3 - Part 1 ← spillover from a 2-part episode
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 2 - Part 1
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 2 - Part 2
Dexter’s Laboratory - Episode 2 - Part 3
Johnny Bravo - Episode 3 - Part 2
Johnny Bravo - Episode 3 - Part 3
Johnny Bravo - Episode 4 - Part 1 ← another misaligned spillover
When an episode only has 2 parts, ErsatzTV plays Part 1 → Part 2 → Part 1 of the next episode to fill the third “slot,”.
My Question:
How can I get ErsatzTV to play parts together regardless of their part count? For a two part episode, only play parts 1 & 2, then go onto the next show. Then, when a three part episode comes along, play all three parts then move along to the next show.
Thanks in advance for any guidance! I do want to note that I used ChatGPT to help me write this out. I was having trouble conveying the logic into a comment.
